For the most part, I enjoyed this one, although a) like you, I'm not necessarily a fan of hyper-experienced Sherlock, and I'm not even sure I completely bought it in this case or that I would, indeed, buy it in any case (but the characterization on him was otherwise excellent), and b) I agree with you wholeheartedly on John; not precisely 100%, but he wasn't so out of line that it bugged me unduly.
